Bookkeeper/Sales Associate/Admin Overview
Teel Technologies is a fast-growing cell phone forensics company located in Norwalk, CT seeking a full-time bookkeeper/sales associate. We are looking to hire a well-organized, talented and enthusiastic candidate to join our team.
Functions and Responsibilities to Include, but not limited to:
Accounts receivable/payable and other daily functions of a bookkeeper
Perform accounting and record-keeping tasks to support the finance department
Monitor accounts payable aging and accounts receivable collections
Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Process customer credit card transactions
Provide credit applications for new vendors and complete setup process
Obtain required W-9 forms
Gather required information needed to process the annual 1099-MISC forms
Assist with monthly and quarterly multi-state sales and use tax preparation
Assist with year-end closing and preliminary audit of books
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries
Provide back-up for all positions as needed including special projects as directed by management
Prepare quotes daily and send to customers in a timely fashion
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but not required. 5+ years of experience with a focus on both accounts payable and receivable. The Ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented work environment.
Full knowledge of QuickBooks Online Software is required
Excel skills, including knowledge of pivot tables and formulas, a plus
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines
Strong desire to tackle new challenges and projects
A positive and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to work independently
Willing to work extra hours as needed
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated and eager to learn new roles
Must be able to communicate with customers in a professional manner by phone and email.
Demonstrate the ability to carefully listen to others at all levels in the organization
